Imitation wood-fired technique.Clay is fired at 1300 degrees Celsius through a reduction process in the kiln fire, naturally forming a soot effect with a distinctly rough surface texture. Depending on the kiln's firing characteristics, the vessel's surface exhibits partial areas of deep brown, dark chestnut, rich amber, or deep gray glaze variations. This lends the piece an antique, weathered aesthetic—not only vintage but also imbued with a sense of value.
